Debbie Park-Boussu Artist Bio
I grew up in Vicenza, Italy and was influenced greatly by the culture. I have been painting since I was a child. I believe we are all given gifts, individual and unique, that we indeed have the potential to shine if we choose. I am com-mitted to using art for education and to help the world be a more joyful and peaceful place. My parents encouraged me to expand my education into other areas more skillful in math and business. This paid off when I opened my combination gallery, frame, and coffee shop north of Durango, CO, where I sold my watercolors, expressing my deep love of mountain living. I was hired in Santa Fe, NM as director of a beautiful adobe gallery in the heart of Canyon Road. It was a high profile life where I became adept at sales and promotions. Having lived in a variety of locations across the US, I’ve studied at various colleges and technical schools. I’ve used many different mediums, usually returning to oils as a favorite. Albert Handel, Tom Lynch, Hal Larsen, each gave me precious jewels from their creative bag of tricks, as well as local artist Kristin Woodward, with whom I continue to paint. My work is now internationally recognized and awarded, thanks to the tremendous support of my family and peers. I have now landed in the green lushness of upstate New York, and am part of an extraordinarily talented art community devoted to making Albany the rich cultural Mecca it is surely destined to be! I am currently active in the Colony Artist’s League, Albany Artist’s Group, and the East Bank Art Alliance. My resume is available upon request.
